2007 Ohio Quality Dealer of the Year

2007 winner Ron Haus from Ron Haus Auto Groups, Inc. in Canfield, OH.

After finishing high school, Haus was employed at Youngstown Sheet & Tube Steel Company, in Campbell, Ohio for one year. Haus was hired in 1973 at General Motors, Inc., Lordstown, Ohio. He was employed there for 10 years as a metal repairmen and alternate union official. In 1982, Haus established two dealerships under the name of Vintage Autos Sales. Haus sold his dealerships in 1997. After selling his dealerships, Haus established a wholesale operation that sold approximately 1,200 cars per year. In 2001, he purchased a Cadillac, Pontiac, Buick, Oldsmobile, GMC franchise in New Martinsville, W.Va. Haus participated in the daily operations of the dealership. Haus sold his interest in the dealership in 2002. In May of 2003, Haus established Ron Haus Auto Groups, Inc. To date, Ron Haus Auto Groups, Inc. has sold approximately 3,500 vehicles wholesale and retail. Ron Haus Auto Groups, Inc. employs 26 people, including two general managers, two F&I specialists, four office managers, service manager and mechanics.

Haus supports Youngstown State University by donating vehicles to YSU for the car coach program. In addition, he donates vehicles to the Youngstown Steel Hounds Hockey Team and has supported the minor league baseball team, The Mahoning Valley Scrappers. Haus continues to support local baseball, soccer and football teams as he has for many years.

Haus is a member of St. Charles Church in Boardman, Ohio. He has donated throughout the years to many organizations in the Mahoning Valley. Ron Haus Auto Groups, Inc. recently donated an automobile to The Christian Discipleship Center for a needy family.

Haus is a member of the Better Business Bureau, Chamber of Commerce and the OIADA. He presently is the Secretary of the Board of Directors for the OAIDA. He is also a past member of the Manheim Auction Advisory Board.

Haus and his family reside in Canfield, Ohio. He is married to Carole his wife of 16 years and is blessed with his family including, Chris Haus, Nicole Haus, Christine and Todd Fusner, and Amy and Tom Deeds.
